Welcome to the webpage of Llyfr Enfys

My name is Luke Blaidd and I am an MPhil student in the Department of Welsh and Celtic Studies, Aberystwyth University.

Over the last 5 years, I have been researching LGBT+ (or queer) terminology in the Welsh language. My undergraduate thesis discusses the history of Welsh terminology between 1972 and 2022 (available here to download soon).

I am currently working on my MPhil thesis. My MPhil thesis will include the history of queer terminology in Welsh between the twelfth and twentieth centuries.

I plan to use my academic research to create a bilingual queer dictionary called "Llyfr Enfys".
